Health Insurance, another problem!
by: Marta, Lutherville

Thank you Michael. I just posted my concerns because I am just beginning the freelance adventure. Your comments about ATA confirmed my concerns about investing on a membership and the actual certification, which I have yet to find out its costs. I am a member still of the MLA which has not really been much of a help throughout my professional life either and they are not much help securing jobs with or without benefits. Our concern on health insurance is a very real one. Does the freelancersunion.org give you some leads on more affordable health care? It's interesting that we are having this dialogue when our future is being decided by special interests. Thank you for your contribution!
