Become a professional translator

by Alessandra
(Findlay, Ohio)

I will like to know a way to become a profetional or certified Spanish translator. I live in Findlay, Ohio and right now I'm doing some Spanish and some college curses and also did one in Alcala de Henares in Spain and I will like to know of a better school around my city or a way to become a good translator. I'm originally from Peru so my native language is Spanish but I want to get a degree of Spanish translator. What are my best options?

Try studying more english.

From my exsposure to this business, I've realized that if you're from a spanish speaking country, you're actually preferred as a translator. My advice to you is to study the english language to show potential employers, that yes, you obviously speak fluent spanish because you're from a spanish speaking country, but you also speak fluent english and have the proof as well.
