Listen to some hilarious Fidel Castro audio

You can find all sorts of Fidel Castro audio files on the Internet today. Especially with YouTube and other videos, it's easy to download and listen to speeches and other files.

However, you've probably never listened to a funnier prank call than the one some radio DJs played on Fidel Castro a few years ago. It's hilarious.

First of all, here's a little background about the prank call. The radio station was WXDJ-FM (95.7) El Zol, in Miami and the two DJs who pulled off one of the funniest pranks I've heard were Joe Ferrero and Enrique Santos.

The call took place on June 18, 2003 and the reason they were able to pull off the prank call was because they had pre-recorded audio of Hugo Chavez that they included in the call to make it seem like he was really on the other end of the line.

On January 6 of the same year, they had actually pulled off a prank call to Hugo Chavez.

In the actual call to Castro, they get through about 3 or four people before they're actually speaking with the Cuban dictator and then they lay it on him and start asking him why he's screwed up the island. Castro finally figures out what's going on and starts cussing out the DJs. It's absolutely hilarious.

Afterwards, the DJs were actually fined $4,000 by the FCC because they were supposed to have gotten Castro's consent to be on the radio!

Anyways, the Fidel Castro audio is pretty funny if you're looking for a good laugh to rejuvenate yourself between translation jobs.
