How can you start a translation business?

I'm a college student in Wellesley, MA, and I recently thought of the idea of setting up a translation business given that Boston and New York have huge immigration populations and that my college is full of international scholars.
The idea is to help the immigrant community by translating documents from their home country such as school report cards, letters, and others, that they need to get their children enrolled in school, etc. In addition, it would be great to develop contracts with schools and other institutions in order to translate their paperwork.
The idea is also socially conscious and I would charge less than what typical translation services can charge. However, since we are students and do not plan to make this into a career, we would not be certified. Can this business be feasible?
