Interpretation Career Path

Where do I start if I want to become an interpreter? Can anyone give me an idea on a typical career path for interpreters?

I am on the same page with you
by: Elsa Laatheer

I have been trying to become a translator for a long time and through my research I learned that you don't really need a certification, just to be fluent in your languages; post job requests in the internet in sites such as Craigs list, let everyone know you do translations and maybe publish an ad in the newspaper. Lawyers, Immigration and accountant offices might be good places to yourself be known
Good luck.
