Language Videos

All kinds of language videos are popping up on the web. These videos can help people learn languages, as well as provide a social commentary on what is happening with language in our world. For these reasons, many of these videos are interesting to translators.

With the growth of online video services, many people are realizing that video can be used as another medium to transmit information. While we generally associate these videos with teenage pranks and shock-value entertainment, there are a growing number of videos being made for transmitting thought-provoking opinions, or even useful how-to information.

As such, I will occasionally post some videos in Spanish (and possibly other languages) that I think are interesting from translator's perspective (especially a Spanish<->English translator). The U.S. national anthem in Spanish: This is a video of the United States national anthem sung in Spanish.

Feliz Navidad: This is a cool video of Jose Feliciano singing one of his most popular songs, Feliz Navidad.
