Personal experience with ATA

I have gone through hiring two assistant translators, the first one was ATA Certified, and the results were, to put it simply, disastrous to me and my employer. This individual had very poor work ethics (although this cannot be guaranteed from any certification), and the spelling errors were outstandingly sad. On the other hand, I currently have a non-certified translator, and this one is just perfect. Quality of work is superb, and work ethics are just amazing.
