Sell your Spanish language dictionary for extra money
As a translator, you most likely have more than one Spanish language dictionary. Foreign language reference books are one of the most important resources that translators use, but many times, translators can also outgrow their dictionaries and not need them anymore.
Have you ever looked at all your Spanish language dictionaries and suddenly realized that you don't really use them anymore? Maybe you use online or computer dictionaries, or maybe you have one or two that you use exclusively. Whatever the case, it's probably a good bet that you have an extra Spanish language dictionary or two sitting around that you aren't using anymore. Well, instead of having to trip over all these materials you aren't using, or trying to figure out where to store them, you can actually make money by selling them online. Normally when someone talks about selling something online, the first website that comes to mind is Ebay. However, I don't think Ebay is the best place to sell books online. In my experience, the best place to sell your extra dictionaries and glossaries is on Amazon. The best thing about selling your Spanish dictionaries on the Amazon website is that it is relatively easy to do and you don't have to pay any money out of your pocket to list your item for sale. With other auction sites like Ebay, you have to pay a listing fee whether your item sells or not. However, Amazon is different. First, after you set up your seller's account, you log in and list your books for sale. You set your own prices and decide what kind of parameters you want. After that, you just wait for your item to be sold. When it is, Amazon will give you the address of the person that bought the item and you then have a couple of days to send the item to them. Amazon will take a percentage of what you sold the book for, and then deposit the money into your account. They will even give you money for the shipping and handling costs associated with sending the Spanish language dictionary or other book. If your item doesn't sell, you don't have to pay anything. All in all, it's a pretty good way to get rid of your translation books and dictionaries that you aren't using anymore. I've used Amazon to sell all sorts of books I wasn't using. It's a great system. If you're interested, you can check out their website at Amazon.com and then click on the "Sell Your Stuff" link on top.
