Spanish slang dictionary

It might not seem that there is much of a difference between one Spanish slang dictionary and another; however, Spanish slang dictionaries can vary a great deal.

Regular Spanish dictionaries aim to include words used in standard speech. However, Spanish slang dictionaries can vary because slang itself can vary between countries or even regions.

When choosing a slang dictionary, you need to know the reason you're buying it.

If you want to better communicate with someone, you'll need a dictionary with slang from the region they're from. Slang from Argentina will be different than slang from Mexico; slang in Spain differs from slang in Ecuador.

However, if you want a general dictionary, you'll be able to find those as well.

You should also remember that slang changes quite frequently and so books might have some outdated slang terms. Usually, however, a book can be very valuable in your communication or in your translation work.
