Spanish song lyrics

You can find all sorts of Spanish song lyrics all across the Internet. However, there aren't many places that you can find them alongside their translations in English, or vice-versa.

I intend this page to be one of those places. I have started by placing some simple and/or well-known songs here in both English and Spanish, and invite you to do the same by sending me Spanish song lyrics with their corresponding translations in English (or English song lyrics with their corresponding Spanish translations).

You might ask what this has with being a translator or improving your skills as a translator. Well, if you haven't already done so, check out the short article I wrote on how song translations can help you become a better translator. Then go out, find a song, translate it, and send it in to us for us to post.

The point is to just get out and practice translating everything you can. Even if you don't have time to write down the translation, try to think about how you would translate a certain line you heard in a song on the radio. Just doing this type of simple exercise with English and Spanish music every day can keep you practicing and improving your translation abilities.

Happy Birthday in Spanish: Find out what this simple tune can teach you about translation.

La Bamba: An English translation of the famous Richie Valens 1950's song.

Nuestro Himno: The latest version of the U.S. national anthem in Spanish.
