Spanish Translation Tools
Social Networking for Translators

There are a ton of various Spanish translation tools that can help translators improve their translation abilities and improve their translation business. One of the newest tools for translators is social networking technology.

But first, some questions:

Does translation and social networking go together? If so, where do they intersect? What are some positive results that can come from using social networking in the translation industry?

Well, I've been thinking about these questions a lot lately, trying to decide if social networking can really help me expand my translation business.

You know, the Internet has changed in so many ways from a few years ago when I started translating freelance. I remember thinking how it was such a big deal to get an email address, and then I thought I was really going big time when I decided to get a website.

But the one thing about the Internet is that it is constantly changing. As soon as you think you've mastered the technology of the day, something else comes along challenging the way things were done in the past. Well, it seems that social networking tools and technology is the next big thing, and as translators, it's important to understand this technology so that we can use it for our benefit.

Social networking is exploding. I mean, we've got Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and everything in between and their popularity only seems to be increasing.

But what does this all mean for translators? Well, what it means is that there are some great new Spanish translation tools we can use to help us in every aspect of our translation work.

So how can translators use social networking?

We can use these social networking tools in all sorts of ways to help us as translators. These new tools can help us find new clients, interact with other translators (which is always helpful for translators who tend to work on their own), find quick answers to our translation questions, and tons of other things.

So have you embraced the social networking phenomenon? How have you used social networking in your personal and professional life? How have you become a better translation professional by employing this technology?

How do you use social networking?
