in latin america, it can also mean the insect 'fly'. when some latin americans speak casually or quickly, they omit the 's' sound, so instead of 'mosca' (the actual word) it is shortened to 'moca' or 'moka'. usually the s is aspirated, making it more like 'mohca' or 'mohka'.
