List of Spanish words

There are all sorts of lists of Spanish words on the Internet today.

People search for these lists for a variety of reasons: vocabulary building, test preparation, Scrabble tournaments... Some of these lists are highly specific, while others are more general in nature. Some lists cost a lot of money and other lists are free.

Depending on what you will be using your list of Spanish words for will determine which kind of list is best for you.

While I don't know the URLs of each of these lists, I have found many of them at one time or another searching around Google.

Look for yourself and you'll find tons of lists that can suit your needs.

If, however, you are looking for a general list of over 90,000 Spanish words, look no farther because I have that list for you right here. It is just a list of Spanish words (no English) and would be a good exercise in vocabulary building. See how many words you know, then increase your vocabulary.

This list is provided under the GNU General Public License and was compiled by Dave Eddington. It is hosted on a University of Michigan server.
