Teacher needs help with names

by Margot
(Ohio)

Could you tell me the equivalent name for the following. I have spent most of the year telling my students names really aren't translated, but when I had them take a survey about what they still wanted to learn yet this year 85% wanted their name translated. I teach K - 8. So I have been trying to come up with their names but have only found about 20% of their names.

Brennan
Evan
Brittany
Alyssa
Jasmine
Sammantha
Laura
Kelsey
Hilary
Courtney

Well, I agree on the "translation" argument, should just be called "equivalents" in the case of proper names. I'll try to help, although most of these don't have a translation:

Brennan - N/A
Evan - According to behind the name website it's derived from John, in which case it would be Juan, otherwise... it doesn't have an equivalent
Brittany - N/A
Alyssa - Alyssa
Jasmine - Jazmín
Sammantha - Samanta
Laura - Laura
Kelsey - N/A
Hilary - Hilaria
Courtney - N/A
