Translation Resources for Translators

Translation resources can be very useful for translators and can take many different forms.

Some of these resources include things like translation or linguistic journals, language-related newspapers, translator conferences, etc.

In order to help you to do your job more efficiently and save time and money, I've started putting together a list of what I think are some very good translation resources.

These resources can help translators improve their language, improve their translation skills, or improve their knowledge in their area of specialization.

If you know of any resources that you find useful in your work that you would like to share with other translators, please let me know.

Thanks.

Resources

1. Linguistic Journals
This page contains a list of journals related to linguistics or translation. There are obviously more journals than the ones listed, but this is a good representation.

2. Translation Magazines
While journals are normally scholarly publications, magazines are intended for a wider audience. Here is a list of magazines (both online and offline) useful to translators and interpreters.

3. Translation Conferences
One of the best ways for translators to network is to attend professional conferences.

4. Translation News
Keep up to date on news happening in the translation industry.

5. Translation, Language, & Culture
You can't be a great translator until you understand the culture behind what it is you are translating.
