Website Translation Services

A client interested in finding a translator who offers website translation services needs to be careful who they ask.

Translating a website is not necessarily the same thing as translating magazine articles or journal essays or white papers.

Translating websites is a whole different arena. Not only does the translator need to translate the text or content of the website, he/she is often asked to translate images, buttons, and links among other things.

Translating these extra-textual items requires the translator to have skills in desktop publishing, image conversion, image processing, etc.

Text on buttons, for example, will be different lengths and a straight translation from Spanish to English might not fit in the designated area. In addition, links will have to be formatted the right way, which while simple, might not be straightforward for someone who has never done it before.
