Isn't this also in reference to a homely person's appearance?

Sangre Pesada (not pesado)
by: Anonymous

I agree with "anonymous". Sangre pesada is someone who is annoying in conversation by either being consistently oppositional or pessimistic, the person can also be flippant or sarcastic, making comments that are insensitive, it is a personality that just "doesn't go over". Generally in spanish we refer to a person as having sangre pesada, or being a pesado or pesada (respective gender in question) the latter being used in Caribean Islands more often.

Sangre Pesado
by: Anonymous

I would say "sangre pesada" instead of "sangre pesado" because in Castillian (the the type of Spanish we Hispanics speak)nouns have gender, and sangre is female gender; so the correct pronoun is "LA" sangre and the female for pesadO (male) is pesadA. It means someone obnoxious, the type of person that makes a bad first impression, the kind of person who always says he wrong things and asks the wrong questions.
